Low Port Centre

Community Facilities

Low Port Centre features largely in the lives of many who live in our local and outlying communities. Our role in this respect is to offer access to our facilities to community groups, businesses and individuals.

Areas which may be available to the community include:

Main Building

• the Games Hall
• the Lounge
• the General Purpose Room
• the Outdoor Education Lab

Hutted Unit

• the North Room
• the Common Room
• the Small Meeting Room

Groups and individuals can book these areas as an 'occasional let' or, if you are skilled in a sporting/leisure activity and want to start up some classes, book the area on a 'block booking' basis. Examples include:

• a game of badminton/basketball/volleyball etc
• a birthday party
• children's activity parties! (climbing wall, kayaking, canoeing, etc)
• a dance
• a conference
• a regular exercise group (block bookings).

Snack Bar

The Snack Bar is open to the public from 10.30am to 2pm, Monday to Thursday, offering hot meals between 11.30am and 1.30pm as well as light snacks at very reasonable prices.
